"Kyocera Cloud Print and Scan" v1.17 Update Information
Updates of "Kyocera Cloud Print and Scan" v1.17
For User:
1. Supporting <Enter> key for the search field on the customer portal.
Hitting <Enter> key now starts the search for the search field on the customer portal. Search only requires keyboard operation, improving operability.
2. HyPAS application - Supporting login during scanning/fax transmission
Users can now log in from Kyocera Cloud Print and Scan HyPAS application during scanning/fax transmission. You can log in without interrupting the operation of large volume scanning or fax transmission, improving convenience.
For Customer Admin:
1. Supporting "Shared quota" for print quota setting for the group
"Shared quota" type is now added for the print quota setting on "Add/Edit group" page on the administrator portal. In addition to the Per-user quota, you can manage print page limit on a group basis. The print pages can be shared flexibly as needed within a group, which reduces unnecessary printing and reduces costs.
2. Improving user job identification
When the Desktop client is used in the Terminal Service mode, the alias name registered in the user information can now be used to identify the user's job. This provides stable job owner detection and accurate print management even in the Terminal Service mode.
3. Adding an option to restrict administrators from registering ID cards
An option, "Allow user to register an ID card?" (No/Yes) is added to the administrator portal setting. It prevents illegal ID card registration and incorrect registration, improves security and facilitates operation and maintenance.
4. Importing Microsoft Entra ID properties as ID card numbers
You can now import some properties of Microsoft Entra ID (Employee ID/Extension attribute) as ID card number for each user. This saves time and efforts of administrators and users for registering each ID card and reduces the workload during introduction.
5. Improving password entry method when adding devices
The default value of the administrator password on the page for adding devices on the administrator portal is now blank and forced to be entered. In addition, we now force the user to enter device administrator username and password during device registration from Kyocera Cloud Print and Scan HyPAS application. This allows more secure operations.
